asambl/Companion

Available now

Capture on the go. Plan at your desk.

The asambl Companion opens in your phone’s browser, on iPhone and Android, and catches a thought the moment it lands, before it evaporates into the scroll. Jot a note, a todo, a reminder, or a quick voice memo, glance at your day and week, and let it all flow into the week you draft at your desk. It is included in your plan, at no extra cost.

A pocket-sized front door to your week

The desktop app is where you plan and review. The Companion is where you capture and check in when you are away from it. It mirrors today’s schedule and the week ahead from the calendar you already use, and it gives you one fast place to drop whatever you do not want to forget. Nothing about it asks you to manage another inbox: what you capture is waiting for you in asambl the next time you sit down.

What you can do with it

  • Capture notes, todos, and reminders, with optional due dates and priority.
  • Record a quick voice memo; it is transcribed on your laptop, not in the cloud.
  • See today as a timeline and the week ahead as an agenda, colour-coded by life area.
  • Log a workout on the go, with energy, quality, and your sets and reps.
  • Log a meal by scanning a barcode, and record your weight, straight from your phone.

How it works

  1. Open it in your browser. Go to calendar.asambl.app on your phone. There is nothing to install; add it to your home screen if you want it a tap away.
  2. Sign in with Google. Use the same Google account asambl uses on your laptop. The Companion reads that calendar with read-only access to show your day and week.
  3. Capture as you go. Everything you capture is sealed on your phone and relayed to your laptop. It lands in asambl the next time the desktop app is running, ready for your next plan.

Private by design

Captures are end-to-end encrypted on your phone. The relay that carries them to your laptop stores only scrambled data it cannot read, and it auto-expires. Only your linked laptop holds the key to decrypt them. The Companion reads your Google Calendar with read-only access, and those calendar events never touch asambl’s servers. Your data stays on your computer, as always.

Common questions

Do I need to install anything?
No. Open calendar.asambl.app in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen if you want it a tap away. Beta testers on iPhone can also install the native Companion app from a TestFlight invite; it gives you the same day glance and capture.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone and Android, in your phone's browser at calendar.asambl.app. The native app is iPhone-only and currently goes out to beta testers through TestFlight. There is no Android app yet.
How does it connect to my laptop?
You sign in with the same Google account asambl uses on your laptop. Once your laptop is linked, anything you capture on your phone flows into the week you plan at your desk.
Is it private?
Yes. Captures are end-to-end encrypted from your phone to your laptop; the Private by design section above has the full detail.
Does it cost extra?
No. The Companion is included in your asambl plan, and everything is free during the beta.
