What it is, and who made it
The Bullet Journal is the notebook method Ryder Carroll developed over two decades and published at bulletjournal.com (2013) and in The Bullet Journal Method (2018). Its machinery is small: rapid logging, where tasks, events, and notes are captured as terse lines with distinguishing symbols; a daily log you open each morning; monthly logs and an index for structure; and collections, freeform pages for anything from project plans to reading lists. Carroll, who has ADHD, built it explicitly as a system that works with a distractible mind rather than against one, which is part of why it travelled so far.
