On a new install web search is off until you say yes, and asambl asks at the moment it would have helped. Existing installs keep their setting.

Web search is off until you turn it on, on a new install. When a planner needs something that is actually on, Ask says so and offers to turn it on, rather than quietly answering without it. The moment you agree is recorded on your profile; a no is remembered and not re-asked every session.
If web search is already on for you, it stays on and you are not asked. Settings > Integrations turns it off any time.
The privacy policy now says which profiles have web search on by default and which are asked first.
The first Home after setup no longer reads "Not much on file yet" when you have just told asambl about yourself.
The activation wall shows one main button at a time: once you say you have a key, Activate is the button, and the trial stays available one step quieter.
