Pair your phone by scanning: Settings > Integrations > Pair your phone shows a QR code, and the companion's Scan the code reads it. The code carries your computer's key and a one-time secret that never leaves the screen, so nothing between the two devices can swap a key in. After a scanned pairing, your computer only accepts items sent by that phone. "Type a code instead" still works if your phone can't scan.
Web search and the weather ask first: before a web search goes out, or a forecast for somewhere other than your saved city, asambl shows the exact text it would send and waits for your yes. Plan your week now drafts without web search; ask an area's planner or Ask when you want a live search.
A planner's memory waits for your approval: changes to your profile, commitments, working theories, open questions and notes arrive as proposals on the area's Overview, and nothing is written until you approve.
Private notes stay private everywhere: Ask, the planners, an area's context and Connect an agent all refuse a note marked private, and journal entries started on your phone follow the "start private" setting.
Your computer keeps your phone's key: if it changes without a new pairing, your computer stops sending and Settings asks you to pair again.
Crash reports and the app log leave out note names, note paths, places and what you type into Settings, and the app no longer runs code handed to it on the command line or through its environment.
